A 19-year-old forced his way into a Waynesboro elementary school
Everything about this incident in Virginia is just as frustrating as it is vague.
A nineteen-year-old showed up at Westwood Hills Elementary School on Wednesday morning. He forced his way past security and made it all the way into the library. There were no kids in the room when it happened, which is the only reason this nightmare didn't turn into a total tragedy.
A staff member caught a bullet, but they're already out of the hospital, so that's the one bit of good news in this mess. The shooter, Anthony Ignatiadis-Isabelle, ended his own life in the library shortly after. Police are still playing it close to the chest, refusing to say how he actually got inside or if he had any connection to the school at all. It’s just another day of empty answers from local officials while everyone else is left wondering how a stranger breaks into an elementary school during class hours.
