Donald Trump Just Landed a Massive Oil Deal in Venezuela
Everything is bigger in Texas, but apparently, it’s even bigger in the Orinoco Oil Belt right now.
In a plot twist nobody saw coming, the U.S. just walked away with majority control over 65 billion barrels of oil in Venezuela. Yes, that is a staggering amount of crude.
Donald Trump is calling this the biggest deal in history, and it involves heavy hitters like Chevron, Eni, and GE Vernova swooping in to fix the power grid and ramp up production. The plan? Send 50 million barrels straight to U.S. refineries to keep gas prices from doing anything too crazy. They even locked in 100-year concessions for some fields. Imagine signing a lease that lasts until the next century.
It is wild to see the U.S. essentially becoming the landlord of the Orinoco Oil Belt overnight. Apparently, global politics is just a giant game of corporate real estate now.
