JD Vance says we're going back to Iran with a 1.5-page peace deal

Original version ·

The White House apparently just solved a major nuclear standoff with a piece of paper shorter than your average terms of service agreement.

The United States and Iran just shook hands on a framework agreement to end their brief, chaotic war. According to Vice President JD Vance, UN inspectors from the IAEA are heading straight back in to watch them dismantle their enriched uranium stockpile.

The wild part? The entire peace document is just a page and a half long. It is basically a transactional checklist: if Iran behaves like a normal country and scraps the nukes, they get money and investments. If they do not, they get absolutely nothing. It is a very basic "no chores, no allowance" parenting style applied directly to global geopolitics.

Naturally, Vance had to swear this is totally different from the deal negotiated under Barack Obama, which he characterized as just "bribing" Iran. He also brushed off threats from Tehran about charging toll fees for cargo ships in the Strait of Hormuz, calling it pre-negotiation spin and promising the shipping lanes will stay completely free.

The world is now banking on a global peace agreement that is literally shorter than a standard apartment lease.
