US Sends More Firepower to the Middle East

Original version ·

Things are getting crowded at sea as the US doubles down on its naval presence in the region.

The US military is currently playing a very expensive game of battleship, shuffling a third carrier strike group and a few thousand Marines into the Middle East. President Donald Trump is making it clear he is not interested in playing nice, especially after shooting down Iran's latest peace proposal.

We are talking about 150 fighter jets and enough hardware to make anyone sweat. The current strategy seems to be pure, unadulterated intimidation while the Treasury tries to choke out the Iranian economy by targeting everything from oil to random rail companies. Secretary Scott Bessent is out here bragging that Iran moved zero crude oil last month, so the pressure is definitely on.

It is wild to watch a regional conflict turn into a massive naval parking lot.
