US Lifts Blockade on Iran as Oil Starts Flowing

Original version ·

Just like that, the three-month war in the Middle East is on pause, the tankers are moving, and gas prices are already taking a dive.

The military drama in the Strait of Hormuz is officially on hold. Following a peace deal signed by Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at the Palace of Versailles, Centcom announced that the naval blockade is over.

Oil tankers are already rushing through the gate, carrying millions of barrels of crude. Even Saudi supertankers, which have been hiding out since the conflict started in February, are back in the water.

The Navy is still lurking nearby to make sure everyone behaves, but for now, the shipping lanes are wide open and gas prices back home are already dropping.

It turns out all it took to end a naval war was a fancy French palace and a couple of signatures.
