Diplomacy Takes a Vacation: USA Hits Back at Iran
The four-day peace window just slammed shut with a series of heavy retaliatory strikes.
So much for that brief Iran-USA timeout. After a few days of playing nice, Iran tried tossing five ballistic missiles at a base in Jordan. Naturally, the USA didn't just ignore it.
Donald Trump male pretty much telegraphed the move from the Oval Office, promising to hit them “very hard” because it was officially their turn. The US Central Command followed through, spending two hours dismantling a bunch of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps command centers and drone facilities. Everything the IRGC shot at us got intercepted, but the retaliatory strikes were clearly meant to remind everyone who owns the skies.
It is almost impressive how quickly we went from “let’s talk” to “let’s launch missiles at your radar sites” in under a week. Diplomacy is apparently just a polite way of saying both sides are rearming.
