Trump finally decides maybe taxpayers shouldn't fund his campaign ads
It turns out running campaign spots on the government's tab is actually frowned upon, even in this wild political era.
So, the government apparently spent over $10 million on ads that were, for all intents and purposes, Trump campaign commercials. These weren't exactly subtle—they featured the man himself talking about the 'final battle' against globalists. The best part? The money was pulled from the Customs and Border Protection budget.
After lawmakers and ethics groups pointed out that using public cash to boost a presidential ego might be a slight violation of anti-propaganda laws, Trump had a change of heart. He announced that his super PAC, MAGA Inc., will now pick up the tab moving forward.
Apparently, 'public service announcements' now include whatever you want them to if you just squint hard enough. It’s funny how quickly a 'patriotic' necessity becomes an expense the campaign can suddenly afford on its own.
