The New U.S. Passport Has Trump's Face on It

Original version ·

Get ready to flash the president’s official portrait next time you go through customs. Yes, the limited-edition U.S. "Patriot Passport" is real, and it features Donald Trump's face right there on the cover.

Celebrating America's 250th birthday is a big deal, but the current administration found a very specific way to mark the occasion. While the standard document features classic national symbols, this limited-edition "Patriot Passport" splits the cover: one side has the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and the other features Trump himself.

The president shared the design on Truth Social, adding his own slogan: "Welcome, but be good!" It sounds less like a diplomatic greeting and more like a stern warning from a night club bouncer. The official White House account quickly backed it up, officially calling it the "Patriot Passport."

But there is a catch. You can only get this masterwork of presidential branding in person at the Washington Passport Agency starting July 6. Anyone applying online or at regular post offices across the country will just get the boring, standard blue book. If someone wants the president guarding their international travels, they will have to book a trip to D.C. first.

Customs officers around the world are about to have a very confusing summer.
