Trump calls munitions leak 'treason' as stockpile rumors swirl

Original version ·

Apparently, we are running low on missiles, but The Donald says it is all just fake news and leakers are going to jail.

So, the word on the street is that the US has basically emptied its garage of long-range precision missiles after squaring off with Iran. We are talking about the fancy Army Tactical Missile Systems and Precision Strike Missiles. The Pentagon is supposedly scrambling to get Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman to crank out more Patriot and THAAD interceptors, because we are using them faster than we can build them.

Trump is having none of it. He hopped on Truth Social to call the reports treasonous, promising that the leakers are being hunted down for some serious jail time. His team says they have all the munitions they need, calling the whole shortage story total B.S. It’s a classic standoff: the military-industrial complex is ramping up production like crazy, but the White House insists the cupboard is totally full.

Nothing says 'we definitely have plenty of missiles' quite like threatening to imprison everyone who suggests we might be running low.
