Trump claims Iran shot down a helicopter and demands a payback
Just what we needed: another Middle East escalation. Donald Trump just dropped the news that Iran shot down a helicopter, and he is already calling for a response.
The good news here is that nobody died. The two pilots on board managed to get out completely unharmed and are currently safe.
But of course, the political machine doesn't care about a happy ending. Donald Trump immediately jumped on the microphone to announce that the United States absolutely has to respond to this. Because apparently, a bloodless incident is still a perfectly good reason to rattle some sabers.
Leaving a situation un-escalated when there is a perfectly good opportunity to start a geopolitical feud is just not how things are done.
