Trump’s 'Locked and Loaded' Iran Standoff vs. Iran’s 'Bring It On' Attitude
The White House is playing a high-stakes game of chicken with Tehran, and both sides seem surprisingly eager to keep the tension at a boiling point.
It feels like we are living in a bizarre episode of a political reality show. Donald Trump Trump is out here telling reporters he is 'locked and loaded' and ready to drop a massive attack on Iran if they do not start playing nice. He is basically waiting for them to 'cry uncle' or run hide in a cave.
Meanwhile, the folks in Tehran are not exactly trembling. An Iranian general actually put out a statement basically saying, 'Please, bring your ground troops, we are ready for you.' They are literally inviting an invasion while Trump is deciding whether to make his move. It is a weird mix of threats and 'let's talk,' but nobody seems to be actually making a deal.
It is almost impressive how two countries can threaten total destruction while acting like they are still just negotiating a bad car sale.
