Trump attends Dover transfer as Iran war escalates

Original version ·

Another trip to Dover Air Force Base for four fallen soldiers as that signed ceasefire completely vanishes.

Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth traveled to Delaware to receive four American service members killed in the Middle East. That brings the toll to at least 18 U.S. troops killed and nearly 500 injured since strikes started in February.

Whatever happened to that April ceasefire agreement or the June roadmap to end the conflict? Those evaporated as soon as fighting reignited around the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. has now struck Iranian targets for 11 straight days while casualties on both sides keep mounting.

Before boarding Air Force One, Trump told reporters that honoring fallen heroes is one of the hardest parts of being president, but insisted that Iran will never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.

Meanwhile, the conflict has already drained over $37 billion from the federal budget, and American gas prices just hit four dollars a gallon again.
