Supreme Court says 'hard pass' to Trump again
The highest court in the land just made it clear that some legal headaches aren't going away anytime soon.
The Supreme Court just gave Donald Trump Trump a very firm 'no' on his latest attempt to dodge that E. Jean Carroll Carroll verdict. They refused to hear the case, which means he is still on the hook for those millions in damages.
This is the second time this summer they have basically told his legal team to stop knocking on their door regarding this specific payout. The court didn't even bother to provide a reason for the rejection, which is the legal equivalent of a 'talk to the hand.' Meanwhile, a much larger case involving an 83-million-dollar judgment is still sitting on their desk waiting for its turn.
It is fascinating how much energy goes into avoiding a bill that started with a department store incident from the nineties.
