Socialism is officially more popular than Big Business, says Gallup

Turns out, the American Dream might need a rebranding because folks are looking at the alternatives.

A new Gallup poll just dropped, and for the first time ever, more Americans have a favorable view of socialism than of big business. It’s not exactly a revolution, but it’s a vibe shift that has been brewing since 2010.

While everyone still loves the local mom-and-pop shop, big corporations are essentially losing the popularity contest. Meanwhile, independent voters are drifting toward the socialist label, while the younger crowd is already there. It’s not that people want to abolish markets, but they are clearly losing patience with the corporate machine.

It’s funny how capitalism has become the vintage brand that only the older generation is still buying. Let that sink in.
