Senate GOP says 'no thanks' to ending the war with Iran

Just when you thought everyone was ready to pack it up, the Senate decided to keep the door wide open.

The Senate GOP just shut down a move that would have officially reined in the ability to start a war with Iran. Even though some of their own are starting to get cold feet about the whole Trump-era approach to the region, the party line held firm.

They basically voted to keep the 'start a conflict whenever' option on the table right before heading home for the elections. It's a bold move to keep your options open while telling everyone you're focused on domestic issues.

Apparently, peace is just a bit too inconvenient for the calendar right now.
