Russia's latest massive strike hits Ukraine and lands in Poland
It was a busy night for Russia's arsenal, and things got uncomfortably close to NATO territory.
Russia decided to throw basically everything they had at Ukraine overnight, launching hundreds of drones and missiles across the country. A family of six was wiped out in a single hit, and the chaos touched cities from Kyiv to Lviv.
The part that should have everyone blinking twice? One of those cruise missiles took a detour and cratered into Poland. Poland's prime minister, Donald Tusk, confirmed it was likely a Russian Kh-101 that decided its original target wasn't interesting enough.
Somehow, despite Ukraine's air defenses swatting away most of the swarm, the stuff that got through managed to turn apartment buildings and warehouses into targets.
Accidental border crossings by cruise missiles are becoming a recurring feature of the neighborly relationship in the region.
