Putin’s 'Birthday Gift': Dozens Dead in Brutal Russian Strikes on Ukraine

Original version ·

Some people celebrate turning 74 with cake, but Vladimir Putin reportedly preferred sending ballistic missiles into residential blocks.

It is hard to wrap your head around the logic here. While the world was going about its Tuesday, Russia decided to mark the Kremlin leader's 74th birthday by launching a massive wave of missiles across Ukraine. The carnage hit civilian homes in Pryluky, Dnipro, Kremenchuk, and even the capital, Kyiv.

The most gut-wrenching detail is the target in Pryluky. A residential building was turned into a pile of rubble, resulting in the death of at least 20 people, including several toddlers who barely had a chance to start their lives. Volodymyr Zelensky didn't mince words, calling the attack a conscious, cold-blooded choice of terror.

It is a grim reminder that while diplomats talk about peace, the reality on the ground is just pure, unadulterated horror. The world watches, the rubble is cleared, and the missiles just keep coming.

Sending death as a birthday present is a level of depravity that makes one wonder if there is any bottom to this barrel.

this is why defense aid shouldn't even be a debate anymore. just send it.
