Doctors essentially tell RFK Jr. to stay out of the delivery room
It was only a matter of time before the nation’s top pregnancy doctors looked at the new CDC guidelines and said, "Yeah, we’re not doing that."
For the first time ever, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) has officially broken ranks with the CDC. They just dropped their own independent vaccine schedule for pregnant patients, and they have got a dozen other major medical groups backing them up.
Why the sudden mutiny? Because the CDC—now under the leadership of noted vaccine skeptic Robert F. Kennedy Jr.—quietly did a little remodeling of their health advice. They stripped the flu and COVID-19 shots from their recommended maternal list, and they did it without consulting their usual panel of vaccine experts to review the actual science.
So the country's actual OB-GYNs decided to bypass the federal government entirely to keep their patients safe. They are firmly re-recommending the flu, COVID, Tdap, and RSV shots to make sure pregnant moms and their babies don't end up hospital-bound.
Turns out, when political appointees start overriding established science, doctors will just start writing their own rules.
