It’s a haunting reminder of how unpredictable these high-altitude spots can be. Scientists are pointing to signs like discolored meltwater and bedrock cracks, but honestly, experts like Austin Lord admit this was a total blind spot. Even with all our tech, the mountain just moved too fast for anyone to stand a chance.
