Another night of airstrikes in Lebanon leaves civilians caught in the crossfire

Original version ·

The situation in Southern Lebanon just took another grim turn as the conflict intensifies.

Warplanes leveled a three-story residential building, while a drone strike took out a car carrying medics. Israel says they were targeting Hezbollah operatives moving weapons, but the official toll includes children and medical staff among the dead. Whatever the military justification, the human cost is mounting rapidly with every passing day.

The military is now claiming they are investigating the civilian casualties while simultaneously pushing forward with strikes across the region. The whole thing feels like a countdown to something much worse that no one seems able to stop.

it's always the same story, tragic but unsurprising at this point.
