Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff head to Moscow for peace talks
The ultimate diplomatic tag team just touched down in Russia to try and solve the world’s biggest problem.
So, Donald Trump has sent Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff to Moscow to chat with Vladimir Putin. The idea? Somehow wrap up the war. They are stopping in Kyiv afterward to see Volodymyr Zelensky.
The timing is peak absurd. Russia spent the night bombing Kyiv’s airports, which Zelensky pointed out was a pretty weird way to welcome a peace delegation. Putin did promise to hit the pause button on the missiles while the Americans are in town, though, so that’s something.
It is certainly one way to handle international relations: send your real estate guys to negotiate a ceasefire while the host is busy shelling the runway you need to land on.
