Jared Kushner is casually holding meetings with Hamas now
The world keeps getting weirder as Trump's son-in-law sits down with militant leaders to talk peace in Gaza.
So, Jared Kushner Jared is back in the mix. He spent his Sunday hanging out with Hamas delegates in Egypt to pitch a peace plan that involves everyone just kind of agreeing to stop fighting. It is arguably the most surreal diplomatic crossover episode in recent history.
The plan asks for total disarmament in exchange for Israel pulling its troops, but Israel isn't really buying what's being sold. While Kushner works the room with Tony Blair Tony and a bunch of regional leaders, the people actually on the ground have made it pretty clear they aren't ready to sign off on a ceasefire that feels like a fantasy novel.
Diplomacy is officially just a group of guys meeting in hotels while the rest of the world waits to see if anything actually changes.
