Knicks Pull Off The Most Absurd Comeback In NBA Finals History

Original version ·

Trailing by 29 points, the Knicks looked dead in the water against the Spurs until they suddenly didn't.

It was supposed to be a blowout. The Spurs were raining threes and dismantling New York, leaving the home crowd in a funeral-like silence. Karl-Anthony Towns was benched early for fouls, and Victor Wembanyama looked like he was playing against middle schoolers.

Then, the Spurs just stopped making shots. Like, completely forgot how to play basketball. The Knicks turned the pressure up, Jalen Brunson started finding his rhythm, and the 29-point lead melted away. In the final seconds, OG Anunoby snatched a missed shot out of the air for the game-winner, completing the biggest comeback we've ever seen in the Finals.

Sometimes the rim just decides it hates you, and tonight, it hated San Antonio.
