Judge Tells Trump His Alaska Election Theory is a No-Go

Original version ·

Someone finally told the former president that you can't just pause election results because you don't like how the math is turning out.

A federal judge just tossed a lawsuit filed by the Trump administration that basically asked to freeze the certification of Alaska Senate results if the GOP incumbent didn't win. It’s a bold strategy to try and preemptively cancel an election outcome before the votes are even tallied.

The court wasn't having any of it, noting that the whole legal argument had zero basis in reality. Apparently, you cannot legally block election results just because they might hurt your team's feelings.

History will likely remember this as the political equivalent of trying to unplug the router because the game isn't going your way.
