Iran Frees American Hostage as "Goodwill" While Trump Bombs Them

Iran just released a wrongfully detained American citizen out of nowhere, calling it a total "gesture of goodwill."

Dena Karari, a charity worker who runs a nonprofit for children, went to Iran to visit her family and ended up locked up by intelligence services on fake charges. After facing grueling interrogations and months of hardship, she’s finally on a plane back home.

The timing is pretty wild. Iran handed her over right in the middle of active military strikes, as the U.S. spent five straight days bombing Iranian targets across the region while Iranian forces retaliated against regional bases.

Nothing says diplomatic goodwill quite like releasing a prisoner while missiles are actively flying back and forth.
