ICE finally gets body cameras, only a few dozen shootings late
Better late than never, I guess? ICE is finally joining the 21st century.
After a string of deadly incidents that left everyone asking what actually happened, ICE has decided that maybe—just maybe—they should record things. The agency claims they finally have enough body cameras to go around.
It is wild that it took over two dozen shootings under the previous administration to reach the conclusion that video evidence might be a good idea for transparency. Apparently, the technology was just too mysterious or the budget was too tight until now.
Accountability is apparently something that arrives on its own schedule.
