Houthis strike Riyadh airport, turning a business trip into a nightmare

Original version ·

Things just got significantly more dangerous in the Middle East after a strike on King Khalid International Airport left three dead.

So, the Houthis decided to take their conflict with Saudi Arabia to the next level by hitting Riyadh’s main airport. Three people are dead, including a pilot, and the whole situation is, frankly, a massive escalation that nobody asked for.

It is wild that while global elites are preparing to fly in for a big energy summit, the airport is literally turning into a frontline. The U.S. Embassy is now essentially telling everyone to stay away from the border and keep an eye on their flight status, which is the diplomatic way of saying things are going sideways fast.

The Saudis hit back at Sanaa immediately, because of course they did. We are looking at a cycle of fire that is making the Red Sea feel like a game of Russian roulette for tankers.

International business conferences are pretty hard to enjoy when the host city is catching missiles.
