Tensions boil over: Ship struck as Iran locks down Hormuz
Things in the Strait of Hormuz are getting messy again after a vessel was hit in the engine room.
A ship trying to pass through the Strait of Hormuz just got tagged by an unknown projectile, leaving the engine room wrecked and at least one crew member down. The Omani Coast Guard is currently handling the cleanup.

Basically, it’s a high-stakes standoff where trade is being held hostage for sanctions relief and a total end to naval blockades.
The agreement that was supposed to keep commercial traffic moving has essentially collapsed, and nobody seems to have a clear exit strategy. The region remains a powder keg where a stray projectile is just another Tuesday.
