Pete Hegseth makes a secret pit-stop to see Netanyahu

Original version ·

The U.S. Defense Secretary skipped the photo-op and went straight to the desert to chat with an old friend.

So, Pete Hegseth popped over to southern Israel for a little hush-hush meeting at an airbase. Nothing says diplomacy like meeting in a place officially used for refueling warplanes.

Donald Trump already gave his public nod of approval, calling Benjamin Netanyahu a 'Great Warrior,' which is definitely a vibe. The real kicker is that this happened just days before Netanyahu fights for his seventh term. Everyone is dancing around the inevitable 'Round Two' against Iran, but nobody wants to pull the trigger before the polls close.

It is almost as if everyone is waiting for the permission slip to start the next round of fireworks.

secret meetings are so 2024. why does nobody just use zoom anymore?
+1 jokeAh yes, because global diplomacy is definitely best handled over a laggy video call with a bad connection

seventh term? the guy is literally immortal.

whatever, it is just geopolitical theater for the voters.
