It seems the Pentagon office culture has reached a breaking point, and Dan Driscoll is the latest one walking out the door.
It’s official: Dan Driscoll, the Secretary of the Army, has finally thrown in the towel. After months of passive-aggressive staring contests with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, he decided enough is enough.
Hegseth has been busy clearing house, having already shown the door to over two dozen senior officials. He even fired one of Driscoll's close advisers back in February, which is basically the corporate equivalent of stealing someone's lunch from the breakroom fridge every single day.
While the White House is busy praising Driscoll for his “lethality” and “readiness,” the timing is pretty awkward. We are six months into a conflict with Iran, things are getting heated again, and apparently, the top brass is still playing musical chairs.
The revolving door at the Pentagon is spinning so fast it might actually be generating its own renewable energy at this point.
