Election Officials Fear DHS as Election Threat

Original version ·

You know things are going great when the literal Department of Homeland Security, the guys hired to protect the vote, are now flagged as the main threat to it.

Local voting officials are sweating, and not because of foreign hackers or broken scanning machines. They are seriously worried that the Department of Homeland Security might actually try to undermine the election results if the outcomes do not please Donald Trump.

Usually, the federal government is the one sending help, cyber-security shields, and friendly advice. Now, election workers feel like they have to lock the doors from the inside to keep the protectors out.

It is a special kind of administrative dread when the security guard starts looking at the safe with a crowbar.
