Trump lashes out at Netanyahu after Beirut strike hits peace deal
The Middle East is playing a high-stakes game of whack-a-mole, and Donald Trump is officially losing his cool.
Just when everyone thought a peace deal with Iran was crossing the finish line, Israel decided to drop missiles on a residential neighborhood in Beirut. The official reason? Hezbollah broke the cease-fire first. The result? Total chaos.
The strike specifically targeted a Hezbollah command center in Dahiyeh, leaving casualties behind and throwing the entire diplomatic calendar into the trash. Benjamin Netanyahu and his defense chief claimed they had no choice, insisting they won't tolerate any fire into their territory.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump isn't having it. In a rare public meltdown, he blasted Netanyahu for having "no judgment" and essentially accused him of blowing a "long and beautiful peace." It’s the ultimate "good cop, bad cop" routine, except the cops are currently screaming at each other while the neighborhood burns.
Diplomacy is officially an extreme sport where everyone is playing by their own rules.
