Andy Burnham takes over as UK PM
Keir Starmer is officially handing over the keys to 10 Downing Street to Andy Burnham on Monday.
Andy Burnham just took over the Labour Party and is stepping right into the Prime Minister seat after Keir Starmer steps down. His big pitch? No more party infighting, rolling back Thatcherism, and nationalizing utilities.
To avoid terrifying the markets, he passed over socialist favorite Ed Miliband for finance chief and is eyeing immigration hardliner Shabana Mahmood instead. Naturally, Nigel Farage immediately called the whole swap "utterly vacuous" and demanded an instant general election.
British prime ministers now change hands faster than a cheap umbrella in a London storm.
